DNV-OSS-102 Rules for Classification of Floating Production, Storage and Loading Units |
The present edition of the rules includes amendments and additions
decided by the Executive Committee in October 2011 and supersedes
the October 2010 edition.
The changes come into force 1 April 2012.
Text affected by the main changes
is highlighted in red colour. However, where the changes involve
a whole section or sub-section, only the title may be in red colour.
| — | A restricted use legal clause has been added on the front page. |
| — | The description of documentation requirements has been updated/simplified. |
| — | The societies role and relation to other parties' role and obligations has been further clarified in Ch.1 Sec.2 A1001 and Sec.4 A502. |
| — | The societies basis and procedures to assess compliance with the rules has been further clarified. As part of this the Quality Survey Plan - QSP has been introduced; Ch.1 Sec.4 A205, A600, A700 and Ch.3 App.B B502. |
| — | Class scope for temporary equipment has been clarified in Ch.1 Sec.5 A100. |
| — | Requirements for ageing self-elevating units have been updated and clarified in Ch.3 Sec.2 D. |
| — | The description of Offshore CM alternative survey arrangement (Condition Monitoring) has been updated in Ch.3 Sec.7 H. |
In addition to the above mentioned rule changes, a number
of corrections and clarifications have been made to the existing
rule text.
